Malinda Perera

Malinda Perera is a Sri Lankan comedian based in Vienna, Austria, who began his stand-up comedy journey in 2016 and quickly rose to success. Having lived in Sri Lanka and Malaysia, he moved to Austria to pursue a master’s degree in Business Informatics. In 2019, while working as a university researcher, Malinda made a bold career switch to become a full-time stand-up comedian, determined never to look back.

To further his comedy career, Malinda relocated to Dublin, Ireland, in 2021. There, he performed at nearly every prestigious comedy club across the country and was featured on RTÉ’s hit sketch comedy series No Worries If Not (Season 1). In 2024, Malinda returned to Austria, where he now resides and serves as the resident host of N2O Comedy Club – Vienna.

Since stepping on stage for the first time, Malinda has been sharing his inter-cultural experiences through comedy, performing and headlining in over 25 countries across Europe. His debut solo special, Not A Drug Dealer was performed in 50 cities across 24 countries, enjoyed a sold-out run in 2022, and is now available to stream for free on YouTube.
