Malinda Perera

Malinda Perera is a Sri Lankan comedian currently based in Dublin, who started doing stand-up comedy in Vienna, Austria in 2016 and rose to success in a very short period. Having lived in Sri Lanka and Malaysia, he decided to move to Austria to do his masters degree in Business Informatics. In 2019, while he was a researcher at university, Malinda made a rapid career change by becoming a full-time comedian hoping never to look back. In 2021, to push his stand-up comedy career even further, Malinda moved to Dublin, Ireland.

Since taking the stage for the first time in 2016, Malinda has been exploring his inter-cultural experiences in a funny way and has performed and headlined in over 25 countries in Europe. His debut solo special “Not A Drug Dealer” was performed in 50 cities in 24 countries and had a sold out run in 2022. Malinda was also featured on RTÉ’s hit sketch comedy series “No Worries If Not”.
